1. Summary
BuildDaily Multiplier (the "Service") is a tool that turns one short video into multiple pieces of social content (vertical reel, carousel, image post, X/Threads copy) and optionally publishes them to your connected social accounts.
What we collect: the videos you upload, the content the Service generates from them, your account info (email, name), and the access tokens that connect your social accounts to the Service. What we don't do: we do not sell your data, we do not train AI on your videos, we do not show ads, and we discard your video uploads after processing unless you've explicitly chosen to keep them.
2. What we collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
- Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), and profile preferences.
- Videos and other media you upload: the source video file, optional studio notes, and any custom captions or edits you make.
- Connected-platform tokens: when you connect TikTok, Instagram (Meta), YouTube (Google), X, or Threads, we store the OAuth access and refresh tokens issued by those platforms. We never see your social platform passwords.
- Communications: the contents of any emails or support requests you send us.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: which features you use, when, and the success or failure of processing jobs (so we can debug and improve the Service).
- Device and connection metadata: IP address, browser, OS, and approximate location (derived from IP, not GPS).
- Generated content metadata: for each piece of content the Service produces, we keep technical metadata (duration, resolution, transcript, generated copy) until you delete it or your account.
2.3 Information from connected platforms
- When you connect a social account, we receive the data you authorize at OAuth consent: typically your username/handle, profile ID, and permission to publish on your behalf.
- We do not read your direct messages, contacts, followers, or non-public content unless that's required to publish a post you've explicitly scheduled (e.g., uploading the video and writing a caption).
3. How we use it
- To run the Service: transcribe your video, generate captions / hooks / headlines / threads, render the output formats, and publish to your connected accounts when you schedule a post.
- To support you: respond when you email us, send transactional emails (e.g., "your scheduled post failed to publish to X — here's why").
- To keep the Service safe: rate-limit abuse, detect fraud, and protect against accounts that violate the Terms of Service or any platform's policies.
- To improve the Service: measure aggregate usage (e.g., "how many users used the Carousel feature this week") so we know what to build next. Aggregate stats are not tied to your identity.
What we do not do: we do not train AI models on your content. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your videos for marketing or display them publicly without your explicit consent.
4. Your video content
Your uploaded videos are your property. By using the Service, you grant BuildDaily a limited, non-exclusive license to process those videos solely to deliver the outputs you've requested (reel, carousel, image post, threads) and to publish those outputs to platforms you've connected, when you've scheduled them.
We retain the source video file only as long as needed to complete processing — typically minutes. The generated outputs (the reel, the carousel, etc.) are stored with your account so you can re-download or re-schedule them, until you delete them or your account.
5. Connected platforms (TikTok, Meta, Google, X)
When you connect a third-party social platform, the Service uses the official APIs of that platform under its Developer / Platform Terms. Our use of data obtained from those APIs is in compliance with each platform's developer agreement.
5.1 TikTok
BuildDaily's use of information received from the TikTok Developer Platform — including your TikTok username, profile ID, and the right to publish content you create through the Service — adheres to the TikTok Developer Terms of Service and the TikTok Privacy Policy. We do not transfer TikTok data to any third party other than the infrastructure providers listed in section 6, and only to the extent necessary to deliver the Service to you.
- What we receive from TikTok: your TikTok user ID, display name, and a token that lets the Service publish a video and caption on your behalf when you schedule one.
- What we send to TikTok: the video file you produced through Multiplier and the caption/description you wrote, on your explicit schedule.
- What we do not do: we do not access your TikTok DMs, followers, watch history, or non-public account data.
- Disconnecting: revoke at any time at tiktok.com/setting/applications or by emailing us.
5.2 Meta (Instagram, Threads)
Use of Meta APIs is governed by the
Meta Platform Terms
and
Meta Privacy Policy.
We request the minimum permissions needed to publish a post (typically
instagram_content_publish and similar). You can revoke access in your
Instagram or Threads connected-apps settings.
5.3 Google (YouTube)
BuildDaily's use of YouTube API services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Per Google's developer requirements, BuildDaily limits its use of information received from Google APIs to the features the Service explicitly provides — uploading videos (Shorts) you produced through Multiplier, on your explicit schedule. We do not transfer Google data to third parties for advertising. Revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
5.4 X (Twitter)
Use of X APIs is governed by the X Developer Agreement. We request only the permissions needed to publish a post (and read your handle). Revoke at twitter.com/settings/connected_apps.
6. Third-party services we use
We try to keep the dependency list short. The third parties below process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements:
- Hetzner Cloud (Germany): hosts the application server and stores videos during processing.
- OpenAI (United States): generates captions, hooks, and copy from your video transcript. OpenAI does not use API inputs for model training (per their API data-usage policy).
- The connected platforms in section 5 (TikTok, Meta, Google, X) when you publish to them.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising tracker.
7. Cookies and local storage
BuildDaily uses two kinds of small data on your device:
- A session cookie to keep you logged in. Required for the Service to work.
- Local storage / IndexedDB for in-browser preferences (e.g., your studio notes saved as you type so you don't lose them on refresh). This data never leaves your browser.
We do not use third-party tracking cookies. We do not show a cookie banner because, under ePrivacy and GDPR, banners are required for non-essential tracking — which we don't do.
8. How long we keep data
- Source videos you upload: deleted from our servers as soon as processing finishes (typically minutes).
- Generated content (reels, carousels, etc.): stored with your account until you delete the project or your account, or until 18 months of inactivity, whichever comes first.
- Account information: kept until you delete your account.
- Connected-platform tokens: kept until you disconnect or delete your account, then revoked at the platform.
- Logs: aggregated server logs retained for up to 30 days for debugging and security; not used to identify individuals.
9. Your rights
Wherever you are, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is wrong.
- Delete your account and associated data — see section 10 for the process.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to our processing or withdraw consent at any time.
Email Support@builddaily.app to exercise any of these rights. We respond within 30 days, usually within 7.
If you're in the EU/UK: you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you're in California: CCPA/CPRA rights apply — we don't "sell" your data as defined by those laws.
10. Account & data deletion
See our dedicated Data Deletion page for the step-by-step flow. Short version: email Support@builddaily.app from the address tied to your account, or request deletion in your account settings. We process deletions within 30 days (typically 7), revoke any connected-platform tokens at the platform, and confirm in writing when complete.
11. Security
We follow industry-standard practices: TLS 1.2+ for all traffic, hashed passwords (Argon2), OAuth tokens stored encrypted at rest, principle-of-least-privilege for staff access (which is currently a small team and audited), and regular dependency / vulnerability scans. Read more on our Security page.
No system is 100% secure. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities within the deadlines required by law (typically 72 hours under GDPR).
12. Children's privacy
BuildDaily is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions that require a higher age, such as parts of the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the Service, please contact us and we will delete the associated data.
13. International transfers
Our servers are in Germany (EU). Some of our processors (e.g., OpenAI) are in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA / UK, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms.
14. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- Email registered users at the address on file at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
- Show an in-app notice the next time you log in.
If a change materially expands what we collect or share, your continued use of the Service after the change will not be treated as consent — we will ask for fresh consent.
